Next Meeting Nov. 17: Get involved!

The DuPage Organic Garden Club will be meeting Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Belmont Village, 535 Belmont Lane in Carol Stream. We'll be talking about our direction for 2012, as well as open volunteer positions such as program coordinators, treasurer, newsletter writer(s) and other positions that make the most of your talents. Whether you're an old or new member (or visitor), attend this meeting to learn more about the club and how we run, to hear our ideas for 2012 and to offer your insight and skills. Be a part of the organic movement in DuPage County--see you Nov. 17.

Annual Potluck Held Nov. 7

One of the joys of being a part of the DuPage Organic Garden Club is the friends we make with whom we share that one commonality - to be good to the Earth via organic methods. So, when garden club members aren't learning about organic gardening and related issues, it's nice to have some time to socialize. Every year we have a potluck which gives members time to catch up and talk about how their garden grew that summer, what worked and what didn't and what they plan to try next year. This year's potluck was held at the Belmont Village, a senior living center in Carol Stream, which very generously allows the club to use one of its social rooms. Members had time to chat it up and enjoy some delicious food - and learn about what's next with the DuPage Organic Garden Club. We hope you'll join our club, enjoy our many educational programs, make some new friends - and perhaps take part in our potluck next fall!
